Volunteer Coordinator (Leicester Volunteer Coordinator)

Opportunity image

We are the RSPCA and it's our vision to live in a world where all animals are respected and treated with compassion. Our volunteers are incredible, they play an essential role in helping us carry out our important animal welfare work every day.

Much of our direct animal welfare work is carried out through our branches. These separately registered charities across England and Wales are run by volunteers who are unstinting in their work for animal welfare.

This volunteer opportunity is provided by an RSPCA branch, which is a separate registered charity to the RSPCA National Society. Please visit the Branch’s website www.rspcaleicester.org.uk for more info and to view a copy of the branch's privacy policy on www.rspcaleicester.org.uk

As a Volunteer Coordinator you'll be using your organisational skills to support the Branch in maintaining a highly effective and motivated volunteer team.

You'll act as central contact point for our current volunteer team and assist those applying for voluntary roles. You'll keep up to date records of training, manage volunteer vacancies and help the management team with administrative support.

You'll respond to enquiries from the general public about volunteering opportunities, matching what volunteers would like to do to help the RSPCA with the areas in which we need additional help.

Your role will also involve welcoming new volunteers, helping with their induction and initial training.

If you like helping people and have great administration and organisational skills this could be the ideal opportunity for you. Please click 'apply' and tell us more about you.
