Administrator (Early Help and Support Admin Volunteer)
As a Early Help and Support Admin Volunteer, you will ensure that every veterinary voucher we’ve issued translates into a healthy, happy pet. Working from home you will be calling around 10 people a week who we have issued a voucher to, to identify whether the vouchers have been redeemed and support the person if they’re having any issues with using it. You will assist pet owners with finding local participating vets and assisting with the registration process. You will be explaining the voucher terms and conditions and acting as a supportive guide for owners facing logistical or technical issues. This work supports our pet food bank services, where we strive to keep pets and people together when facing a financial crisis. Our vouchers are issued through our Community Paws events or through our food bank partners, and can be a lifeline for people when facing hardship, but needing veterinary support.
The skills you need: We are looking for a confident, empathetic, and proactive individual who is comfortable picking up the phone and talking to a wide range of people. To thrive in this role, you need to have: Strong communication skills, with a great phone manner and the ability to build rapport quickly. A background in public-facing roles or call handling is highly desirable. You must be empathetic to the owners' situations while remaining pragmatic and focused on getting the pet the care it needs.
