Microvolunteer (England & Wales)
Are you furloughed during the Coronavirus crisis? Within a few hours as a microvolunteer with the RSPCA you could make a world of difference to the animals and people around us? Animal welfare doesn’t stop for the Coronavirus and neither do we. Our teams of frontline animal rescuers are key workers within our communities helping people and animals now:
- Still rescuing animals
- Still preventing cruelty
- Delivering pet food and medications to isolated people
- Caring for animals where an owner can’t get to them
- Caring for pets if their owner becomes unwell
- Rehabilitating over 4000 animals across our centres and branches
- Finding forever homes for pets who can be adopted
Can you use your LinkedIn and social network contacts to join the fight against Covid-19?
- Become a microvolunteer for the RSPCA whilst furloughed
- Use your networks for good
- Help support pets, their owners and wildlife during this crisis
- Help us find organisations that can make a financial donation to keep our services running
- Help us find organisations that can provide Pet Food and cleaning materials
- Help us promote our Crisis Appeal to your friends and networks so they can donate
- Help share our animal Welfare messages to help pet owners
A great benefit of Microvolunteering is that you can do it at anytime or anywhere. Even the smallest actions can make a big positive difference to the welfare of animals.
Our volunteer support team will invite you to help when we have new activities you can get involved in. You’ll get three or four microvolunteering activities a month, and tasks generally won’t take more than 5 minutes to complete. You’ll also have access to our online volunteering community Assemble where you can keep upto date with news about the RSPCA and get involved in other national or local volunteering opportunities.
