Charity Shop Volunteer (Ringwood Shop)
As a charity shop volunteer you can help in lots of different ways. You could be serving customers on the shop floor, helping them find their perfect purchase and processing sales through the till and card machine. You may also help in the stock room by sorting through donated items and preparing them for sale. Alternatively, you could help merchandising stock on the shop floor and creating fantastic window displays.
We're looking for people with a friendly, cheerful personality who enjoy working as a team and interacting with the general public.
If you volunteer on the shop floor, as you'll be handling cash and processing sales through the till and card machine, including signing people up for GiftAid, so good numeracy skills are essential. Ideally, we'd like you to commit to at least one morning or afternoon per week and a long term commitment of a minimum of 6 months.
This role offers a great opportunity to meet people and make new friends in a fun environment at the heart of the local community . Also if you are thinking of a career in retail, volunteering in our shops is a great way to learn new skills to add to your CV and gain valuable experience. We'll provide you with the training you need along with an induction to your new role.
We are happy to reimburse any reasonable travel expenses you may incur whilst volunteering with us.
Our charity shop volunteers help raise funds and raise community awareness that makes a huge difference to the welfare of animals and helps support the vital work of the RSPCA.
