Maintenance Volunteer ('Wednesday Work Party' At Block Fen Animal Centre)

Opportunity image

We are the RSPCA and it's our vision to live in a world where all animals are respected and treated with compassion. Our volunteers are incredible, they play an essential role in helping us carry out our important animal welfare work every day.

We are now recruiting for a group of volunteers to join our 'Wednesday Working Party' - Are you good at DIY or a skilled tradesperson or simply enjoy doing maintenance type jobs? We're looking for a group of volunteers who can meet at the centre on a Wednesday to assist with tasks arranged by our Maintenance Worker. Tasks include painting, carpentry, gardening and general care of our centre and grounds.

You must abide by all health and safety guidelines as some heavy lifting may be involved. So, before you can start you'll need to complete the appropriate training courses as directed by the Centre.

You'll be part of a team who like to get stuck in and have a willingness help out and get their hands dirty. You should be happy to work indoors and outdoors (sometimes in unpredictable weather). If you want to keep active, make new friends, or use your skills to help others this role might be perfect for you.

Our Maintenance volunteers play an important role in keeping our Animal Centre safe, in good order and looking smart to give a great impression to members of the public visiting our site.

If this sounds like the role for you then click the 'apply' button now.
