Do you have a passion for cats? Are you calm, patient and understanding? Do you live within 30 miles of our centre and have no other animals in the home.

Are you interested in fostering cats?

Do you think you could offer a cat a loving home for a temporary period of time?

Occasionally we have cats that need to be offered a temporary home to live in, rather than staying in the cattery. The reasons for putting an animal into foster care can vary. It could be they are recovering from surgery and therefore need pampering and loving until they are well enough to rehome. This may mean we will be asking you to give daily medications and you would need to feel comfortable with doing this. Or it could simply be offering a loving home instead of a cattery placement whilst they wait to be released for adoption.

Its a wonderful opportunity for you to enjoy the companionship of having a cat without the long term commitment of full ownership. You would also have the rewarding experience of knowing you have helped that cat relax and be well cared for whilst they wait for the chance to find a forever home.

The length of time fostering could be needed could also vary depending on the reason. It could be a few weeks or it could be for months.
The cat you have agreed to foster will need to be kept as a house cat whilst it is in your care. We may not always have cats that need foster homes so the time between fostering may be a while.

If you think you may have the safe, calm environment to offer one of our cats please complete the online application form.

We will then chat through the fostering process with you and if you still feel it's right for you we can begin the process of setting you up!
