Education Centre Volunteer (Mallydams Wood, Hastings)

As part of the Hastings Wild Things project we host educational sessions for schools, nurseries, youth groups, families and community groups to learn about animal welfare, the woodland, wildlife and the wider work of the RSPCA. We also invite members of the public to Mallydams to take part in outdoor activities in our woodland during ‘Open Wood’ events and badger watches.

We need a pool of adult helpers to assist the Education Team with the running of activities for groups as well as the day to day preparation of resources and maintaining the woodland. We also need help decorating the centre and marshalling public events as well as helping in our tearoom and welcoming visitors during our Open Wood days.

We welcome all adults to apply and we also have an all terrain wheelchair for use in the woodland for any volunteers who may benefit from this.
