Overview of opportunity

As an Events Volunteer, you will play a vital part, in assisting with our Fun Dog Show either on Saturday 20th May 2023 and/or with the planning, administration, and marketing beforehand.

We are running the show in partnership with the local cubs and it is part of the wider, Haslemere Festival. The show will be full of fun classes for local dogs and their owners. In previous years there have been lots of attendees - and lots of happy dogs!

Our RSPCA branch is looking for volunteers who can help on the day or before with things like:

  • Administration.
  • Planning.
  • Marketing.
  • Setting up the show rings and dog agility equipment.
  • Taking registrations.
  • Acting as show ring stewards.
  • Public address.
  • Managing car parking.

What we are looking for in an Events Volunteer

  • Someone with lots of enthusiasm.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Friendly and approachable.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Experience with planning and/or marketing events would be desirable.

What we can offer you as an Events Volunteer

  • Join a community which will enable you to meet new people and make new friends.
  • Enhance your CV by adding your volunteering experience and newly acquired skills.

We hope you are interested in volunteering for our event! For more information and to apply for an application form, please contact John Leston (Branch Secretary) on 07770 666390 or john@rspcaaltonhaslemere.org.uk.

Our voluntary roles are subject to an informal interview and trial period. We will ask you to provide contact details for two referees, and dependant on the position, you may need to sign an agreement and undergo specific training before starting the role.
