Cat Behaviour Volunteer (Colwyn Bay)
We are the RSPCA and it's our vision to live in a world where all animals are respected and treated with compassion. Our volunteers are incredible, they play an essential role in helping us carry out our important animal welfare work every day.
The RSPCA are seeing an increasing number of cats who have had little interaction with people. These cats often find the transition into a rescue traumatic, therefore require further behavioural assistance to support their welfare. As a cat behaviour volunteer you will be responsible for working with a variety of challenging behaviours, following action plans with the support of our dedicated team. A typical day will include sessions building positive relationships with the cats from a distance. Due to the nature of this role and the complex behaviours we see, it requires a more hands-off approach. This role can be challenging at times due to the circumstances some of the cats are brought from, but as a behaviour volunteer you will work closely with the same cats each week, playing a crucial role in their wellbeing and watching their confidence grow, which in turn significantly improves their chances of successful rehoming.
All candidates must be over 18 years.
